Molinar Home Design has experience submitting projects to cities and counties throughout the Bay Area, from Martinez to San Jose. Our services specialize in ADUs, Additions & Remodels, and Custom Homes, as well as Multi-Family Developments and Tenant Improvement projects.
Our Process

6-Step Process to help you achieve your vision, and turn it into a reality.

1 - Scope of Project​
Information gathering about your project is the crucial first step to starting the process. Information gathering can be as simple as a phone call letting us know where your project is located and reviewing your goals for your residential, commercial, or institutional project.
2 - Design
This is the fun part of the process where we will collaborate with you to help design your vision. This phase includes researching some of the City/County zoning and design standards and may include schematic sketches to start the flow of information and ideas.
3 - Construction Drawings
After final written approval of design drawings by the client and governing agency if needed, construction drawings will be started. Construction drawings are the package of plans, notes, calculations, details, and analysis needed to apply for a building permit. As desired, we can provide 3D renderings of exterior and interior spaces.
4 - Building Permit
After completion of the construction drawings, MHD will provide the required number of sets of drawings to our client or their general contractor to apply for a building permit.
5 - Construction Bidding & Management
If requested by client during the bid phase, MHD may provide consultation for opinions on bids, methods, and cost of construction as well as other information.
6 - Project Final Review & Feedback
As continued professional development and client satisfaction is very important to MHD, we value site visits during construction. We enjoy hearing from the clients and contractors as each project is a unique experience to see vision become reality. Even though MHD has successfully completed many valuable projects, MHD strives to improve our processes to enhance our client experience.
