Our Story
Molinar Home Design specializes in residential architecture and values the relationships created during this collaborative process. Established in 2004, Founder and Principal Architect Mark Molinar built MHD after years of experience in residential architecture & construction, with the understanding that most homeowners have a dream of what their home should be. Under the focus of -Vision, Process, Reality-, MHD guides homeowners through the steps of the architectural design and permitting process to realize their dream home. Molinar Home Design and The BluePrint Shop are part of the Molinar Home Designs, Inc family. Check out our social media sites for customer reviews.
MHD has developed its 6-Step Design Process through years of practical experience and expertise to streamline bringing a client's vision closer to reality. When a potential client reaches out to us, we understand that architectural projects are significant commitments to undertake, with many important decisions to make along the way. Our Team works hard with clients' best interests in mind to carefully listen to our clients' goals, so they feel heard, comfortable, and understand how the design process works.
Meet The Team

Mark Molinar
Founder
Principal Architect
Mark is the founder of Molinar Home Designs, Inc. and a Principal Architect in the design construction business for 25 years. Originally from San Diego county, Mark was fortunate to be introduced to drawings from a Walt Disney artist. Mark now resides in the Bay Area where he spends time with his family, working around the house, and watching basketball. The Bay Area is also where he founded MHD. Over the years, Mark developed his expertise in residential homes - and with his solid background, he uses his expertise as a foundation for MHD. Using his specialization in the design process of architecture, collaboration, and mentoring, he pushes MHD towards helping the Bay Area grow with his firm's thoughtful and creative designs.

Michael Suchocki
Associate
Lead Architectural Designer | Senior PM
After graduating architectural studies in Rhode Island, Michael sought adventure crossing the country splitting his interests between helping owners design and set up new restaurants, working as a chef, building barns and homes in Wisconsin and being a carpenter’s apprentice in San Francisco. He then enjoyed 24 years of employment in a prominent international architecture firm in Pleasanton, California. From his experience there, he excelled at designing wide-ranging residential projects. Michael also enjoyed working with many custom clients over the years where he grew to love the intense personal enrichment architecture can bring to clients and their families. This led to a partnership with Mark Molinar who had already established a strong client base for over 17 years.

Riley Yarra
Architectural Drafter | The BluePrint
Shop Manager
Coming into MHD, you'll most likely to be greeted by Riley - who we like to deem "The Face of the Shop." Riley grew up in Dublin, CA and spends his time playing the guitar, watching the Golden State Warriors win championships, skating, and drawing. Dublin CA is also where he runs The Blueprint Shop. In partnership with Molinar Home Design, Riley specializes in printing models and construction documents for MHD. He assists with the process of designing construction documents and organizes MHD's workspace.

Vladan Knezevic
Architectural Drafter
Vladan has been in the design construction business for over 23 years. Originally from Bosnia where he studied architecture, Vladan obtained his Architectural and Mechanical design degree from Silicon Valley College. Vladan now resides in the Bay Area with his wife Catherine where they enjoy exploring the wineries in Napa Valley and Livermore. Vladan has developed his expertise working on various projects over the years with Caltrans, PG&E, and residential and business contractors. Vladan began working with MHD in 2020 with a focus on drafting homes under the mentorship of Mark Molinar.
Interior Designer | Project Manager
Rosanne graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Interior Design from SFSU and soon after worked in high-end residential boutique firms in San Francisco Design and Los Altos. When she is not designing or researching she is spending time with her husband Alfred and trying to keep-up with their three daughters and Shiba Inu. She loves running, glamping and spending time with her family.
Front Desk Employees & Architectural Interns
Summer Interns gain experience in the field of architecture, and a valuable understanding of construction documentation through a combination of tasks with MHD and our sibling business, The Blueprint Shop.

Avery (Summer Intern)
Front Desk Employee & Architectural Intern
Avery was with us during Summer of 2025 and is now back for another summer before starting her 5th and final year of Architecture at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a minor in Landscape Architecture. After studying abroad in Berlin for a semester of her fourth year, she has grown very fond of the city and hopes to return eventually after graduation. Avery really enjoys art and design, but also has a passion for natural landscapes and exploring the outdoors. Once she graduates, she hopes to use her degree to integrate more ecological systems into the built environment around us, and support communities’ rights to fresh food while maintaining their own sense of identity.

Gigi (Summer Intern)
Front Desk Employee & Architectural Intern
Gigi is studying Architecture at the University of Arizona in Tucson and will begin her third year in the fall. Her roots are in the Bay Area, and she looks forward to settling down here after the five-year architecture program. She plans to use her education to expand architecture as a remedy for many issues the Bay Area faces, such as homelessness and poverty. Gigi has always been interested in drawing and design, which ultimately led her to pursue architecture as a career. In her free time, she enjoys many types of creative outlets like drawing and sewing, as well as reading and going on adventures with her dog. Come by the Blueprint Shop and say hi!
